McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program Image 1Welcome to the ORIGINAL McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program, sponsored by the McMaster University Department of Anesthesia, and co-founded in 1998 by Dr. Angelica Fargas-Babjak and Dr. Alejandro Elorriaga Claraco.

The Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program founders created the medical acupuncture courses for Health Professionals as the first comprehensive medical acupuncture courses (neurofunctional and electroacupuncture) offered by a Medical University in Ontario, Canada.

McMaster University Contemporary Medical ElectroacupunctureThe McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program is accredited with 300 CME hours (AMA category 1) by the McMaster Health Sciences Continuing Education office.

The Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Courses have been designed following the tenets of best evidence practice (evidence-based medicine) and the latest available contemporary scientific medical knowledge about the treatment of pain and dysfunction using neurofunctional acupuncture and electroacupuncture.

Over 2,000 health care professionals have graduated from the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program since 1999, achieving their training goals. Testimonials [1] from many of them are included for your review.
