College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – This educational event is approved as an Accredited Group Learning Activity under Section 1 of the Framework of CPD options for the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

The Royal College of Family Physicians of Canada MAINPRO-M1 – This educational program meets the accreditation criteria of The College of Family Physicians of Canada.

College of Chiropractors of Ontario – “CCO Members who successfully complete the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program would comply with the educational component of the Standard of Practice of the CCO - S017

The Contemporary Medical Acupuncture for Health Professionals program meets the criteria for qualification training as required by the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors (ASAC) to practice acupuncture - The program is approved by the ACAC for Continuing Competence credit

Approved by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as meeting the minimum education requirement in acupuncture for massage therapists

Recognized by the Worker Safety and Insurance (WSIB) of Ontario for payments to acupuncture providers. A “Regulated Health Professional”, who has received appropriate training at an educational organization which trains and certifies individuals to practice acupuncture and who adheres to the standards of their Regulatory Colleges, can be approved to provide acupuncture treatment.” “Health Professionals should request pre-approval from the WSIB before they begin acupuncture treatment, since each request is looked at on a case by case basis and it is not a given that the WSIB will allow acupuncture in every case.”
